Summary: the World Bank shows that women entrepreneurs make up nearly half of all micro, small and medium enterprises, yet they access less than 10% of the available credit. Women being the backbone of rural economies in developing countries and specifically in Africa, play a significant role to ensure their families well being. due to the many challenges they face in providing for their families, most of them are now engaged in income generation activities.
