As in other previous trends in the education of special needs children, inclusion is acclaimed as the ideal one hence, it is being embraced globally at all levels and degrees. This paper explores the status of inclusive education in Oyo State of Nigeria. A 29 item questionnaire was administered to a hundred and fifty five (155) respondents in Oyo State. Findings revealed i part inadequate understanding of inclusion as evidenced by some of the conflicting responses. Nevertheless, majority of the respondents favoured implementation of inclusive education in Oyo State.  a-
