Summary: At Equity, the average age is 26. This generation, are a people who feel they require freedom and dignity. They are not going to be stereotyped. They want to understand why they do things; they dont' just want to do things. They feel they want the freedom to do it when they want and how they want. The are ICT natives and abhor manual work.Mwangi uses management by objectives to manage Generation Y. They discuss results, not how to get the results. Mwangi advises older managers supervising Generation Y to take their domestic environment to the office. They must seek to understand and interact with them.
